RegionAle offers a modern approach to classic American Sandwiches. Operating in Ellicott City, Maryland, this fast-casual restaurant was looking for a unique menu design and branding that emphasized the flavors of various places around the U.S. We designed a bold logo that would clearly communicate the simplicity of the concept. Regional, American sandwiches. And beer! The map-style menu was developed to provide an unusual format for listing menu items, yet remain clear, concise, and readable.
Logo design for Aspen Grove Early Childhood Education. We wanted to create a logo that would be bold and colorful, playful and professional. From the client: "Inspired by the aspen tree’s unique community root system, Aspen Grove Preschool operates under the belief that all living things are interconnected in a local, natural, and global community." The logo is meant to echo this concept. The upper half represents the aspen "tree," while the lower section shows diversity and connection in the colorful "roots."

Belly operated out of the kitchen of Ithaca nightclub LOT 10 from 2013-2014. Chef Gentry Morris and partner Manny Flores created a fun, vibrant menu based on street eats from around the world. These two characters were the inspiration for the joyful, often street-art inspired advertising for Belly. Hip, colorful design with a clear sense of humor, Belly promotional materials were instantly recognizable, creating a cohesive identity for the brand and a sense of inclusion in the viewer.
Le Cafe Cent-Dix wanted a sophisticated, classic design for their logo and menu design, with just a touch of humor. The logo is crisp and bold, communicating upscale French restaurant. The menu and logo integrate well into the space, which hosts a variety of mirrors in old frames on the walls and a beautiful zinc bar top.
The Rook was looking for a bold black-and-white design that would feature the restaurant's avian namesake. After a few iterations, we decided on a silhouette of a perched rook complemented by Arts & Crafts typeface. The choice of this type speaks to the creativity and handcrafted approach to preparing the tantalizing menu items available at the Rook.
The Argos Inn and its bar are a truly special place, combining the elegant ambiance of the artfully renovated historic mansion with intellectual and often whimsical decor. The menu carries forth with the attitude of historically-inspired, delightfully fresh and reinvented creations. We have created a number of posters for events at the Argos, as well as the drink and spirits menu, rack cards, and assorted signage all keeping consistent with the hotel's aesthetic.
